VIEW THE WORKS
Julie Hedrick explores the light energy from the Earth’s Sun in her new body of work, LIFE. The exhibition comes to Nohra Haime Gallery as a fresh sunrise we are collectively excited to see on the horizon after keeping to ourselves for two years.
The exhibition is comprised of 17 paintings done in the past three years. They are based on her research of the solar coronal mass ejections and solar flares on a scale never measured before. She studied with astrologers and Geo-Astral scholars for the last few years who say we are now coming into a new age with massive shifts in energy with all the planets, especially earth with consciousness, energy and DNA upgrades plus new planets being discovered.
The light energy radiating upon the earth and thus every living cell is extraordinary at this time. These meditations have brought these paintings into being. “Light and energy” says Hedrick.
Julie Hedrick has exhibited extensively throughout the United States, Canada and Colombia. She has also participated to
great acclaim in performances, poetry readings, set designs and discussion panels. Born in 1958 in Toronto, Canada,
Hedrick currently lives and works in Kingston, New York. She is a Graduate of the Painting Studio Program, Nova Scotia
College of Art and Design, (NSCAD). She also studied anatomy and physiology. Since 1990 Hedrick not only has been
painting but also writing poetry.
A special note; Peter Wetzler has composed a new work for this series in the key of E which is the key of yellow, it is titled Yellow. The composition was played during the opening reception.

Life
The light, warm and radiant saffron strands and lemons, apricots and marigolds. A brilliant sun conducts the dawn chorus, a pale yellow moon slips away. These paintings are meditations.
The last three years have shocked, slowed and illuminated my life, many lives. There is much we can say about it all but I haven’t the words, what I have are these paintings. The Yellows, as I call them, hold tremendous tension and energy, they are meant to be absorbed, to lift and release.
Step into the light.
